This weekend was a trip to Vegas with James and our new friend Natalie. We went to promote the car rally and after party at the Palms. And in all that "work" we went shopping at the forum shops. Love those stores.. Found two stores that are my new favorites.
Fresh. This is the best smelling store in the world and I left with a scent that had me about to eat my arm off the rest of the day. I won't say what the scent was because I can't wait to buy it offline and have you ask me what that wonderful smell is!! But wow.. IT SMELLS SOOOO GOOD! Can't wait to get it.

The second store I fell in love with was Anne Fontaine. We went in and I was pampered in trying on an outfit that was just incredible. So wanted it. Price: unattainable. LOL But it was fun to try it on, pretend to be rich and set my goals all at the same time. Great looking business clothes... one day, one day.

Although Monday wasn't a weekend day, I do have to write how much joy I took from the first ever evening walk. James and I went for a short walk around the condo complex and it was nice to walk and tell each other about our days. I'm hoping it becomes a nightly routine.

Astoria opens August 24th, so open your calendars and plan to make the trip to come. :) (astoriaweddings.com)

The NK2K10 (nonsense car rally 2010) is still pushing forward, and is gonna be huge! (nkwine.com)

And my personal baby, Taylor-Made Weddings and Events, has a new blog and Facebook. I've been working on a few style boards and am getting my DBA in July. (tay-madeweddings.blogspot.com) (facebook- Taylor-Made Weddings and Events)

Everything is coming together and with starting school in the fall.. things are going and are busy but very good.

"Life is a big canvas, throw all the paint on it you can."- Danny Kaye

My future "sister-in-law" is getting married and wants a lake wedding with yellow in the fall. I felt inspired and threw this together.

I have to laugh at that "sister-in-law" part. It always sounds so complicated to say my boyfriend's brother's fiancé.

Thats about everything going on.. Just been busy with James' Rally, Astoria and Taylor-Made.
I am seriously lacking it right now.

I had a rough, cockroach night. And along with totally grossing me out, its started my day off with a sleepy, unmotivated attitude. What is a rough cockroach night, you may ask? Well... Lets start with the rough part. James and I currently are couch-less. (They are coming in the next week or two) In the meantime, When We watch movies, we bring our bed down stairs and lay on it to watch movies. Last night we brought the bed down and decided we would just sleep down stairs after we finished our movie. It seemed like every hour we were getting woken up by people (roommate/ and roommates friends) coming down stairs and fiddling around in the kitchen or going outside and coming back in. So after a few times of this, we decide to just give in and haul everything back upstairs. Now sleeping in our quiet room. Sigh, peace, quiet no more interrupted sleep... so I thought. I have no clue how long I was asleep but I was woken up by something in my ear! (finger in ear to scratch and squish) After screaming and freaking the F(!) out, I run to the bath room and pull a now very dead (from me trying to pull it out), cockroach out of my ear. EEEWWWWW!!!!!!!!!! EEEEEWWW!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I washed my ear out and then pored a TON of hydrogen peroxide in my ear. (Its all I had and I could think of that would clean it out and get bug germs and guts out of my ear) Then back to bed. James trying to calm me down.. I keep freaking out and getting creepy hebey gebies. I finally fell asleep (hands over ears) and all the rest of the night went well. (had a good dream about sleeping in a bubble so no bugs could climb into my head or anywhere else) Now to waking up.. I come down stairs, turn on my work computer, grab the hoodie that was on the back of that chair that had fallen to the floor, and put it on. ( 5 seconds later.. ) Get that feeling like your hair is tickling you... go to scratch.. grab a (larger than the ear one) cockroach off my neck. (minor Quiet(4:30AM) Freak-out and smashing ensues) EEEWWWWW!!!!!!!!!! EEEEEWWW!!!!!!!!!!!!!! What the hell???!!!? They were out to get me these last few hours. :( Now I would like to point out that I am a neat freak. I clean my home every other day, this is vacuuming, sweeping mopping, dishes, laundry, etc.. and We have had the house sprayed for bugs.. Therefore This should not have happened to me!! I keep getting that feeling like stuff is crawling all over me now. (shutter) I am so freaked out and disgusted now. I'm going to have to call to get the house sprayed again. :( So due to a sucky night and being grossed out, I am kinda focusing on not wigging out over every little itch I get.. So not motivated right now, just grossed out. Bleh.

On a happier note, James and I went to the movies for free yesterday. We went and Saw the new Kathrine Heigl and Ashton Kutcher movie, Killers. It was pretty funny and We liked it. It was cute. And then James dumped a whole thing of popcorn on my head. LOL. It was just a fun and playful date. :) And for the record, I was completely blameless in the popcorn massacre.. Ask anyone. :P

We also went to Vegas this weekend to hand out flyers for the Rally and to take our roommate to his daughters birthday. It ended up raining so that axed the flyers, So James and I just walked around looking at shops and things. It was nice and I love Vegas with James, Walking around holding hands the whole time is the only reason I would like Vegas at all really. LOL But I also did get some good ideas for wedding stuff because of all the cool design aspects Vegas has going on so that was a plus too.

Well thats all I have for an update. I'm feeling a little more motivated now that I've had a chance to write out everything. :)

Todays quote is something I live daily, I always try to never leave without saying I love you to James. Just a little thought to think about I guess: "Never part without loving words to think of during your absence. It may be that you will not meet again in this life."
Jean Paul Richter

I recently read a blog http://www.fluentself.com/. Her most recent post was about words of wisdom. Things She knows. I won't try to explain it a) because I've only just started reading the blog and am still trying to get the feel and b) because I have taken it in the way that has inspired me to write this particular blog and c) because I would want to let you read and interpret it your own way for you.

I was inspired to list a few things of what I know, am grateful for or have learned, recently, in life and just in general. So here it goes.

SLEEP IS AWESOME! There isn't much that can make your whole body feel better in one 8 (for real world people 4, 5, 6 and if your lucky 7) hour shot. Naps are little godsends on those days where the night before you only got the 4 hours of sleep. If 1/3 of your life is spent sleeping.. use that time to make sure you are fully rested to enjoy the other 2/3! I've learned that I need to sleep to be happy. No sleep= Unhappy, grumpy, ill-mannered me stumbling through the day straining relationships and fighting the urge to actually do anything but gripe. Most take sleep for granted but Get sleep and find your life get a little brighter, bigger and happier.

Take time to look out the window or go outside. When I can go outside on a bad day and just look around and feel the sun.. instant mood brightener. Hell it could be Raining or snowing and freezing out but take the time to look out the window and realize the weather is just one thing on a list of many that you can't control but you can enjoy regardless of the day, or your mood... A five minute break to go outside, breathe fresh air and just relax for a second can change your whole day.

Take chances. What is holding you back? Would you look back at your life and wish "what if" or would you take the risk to change your life to how you want it. I like to constantly push my comfort zone... Even in the smallest way, it improves my life. Stagnant life is not fun. Failure is often but never worthless. Learning to take risks and to learn from every "failure" or "win" is a key part of getting to where you want to be. I have a few friends who have the world at their fingertips.. like all of us, but they can't see it.. Fear or failure or losing that comfort zone has held them in place and feeling frustrated. I have learned in this last year that I don't want to be frustrated with where I am, I want to take the chances to make my life mine. "Go confidently in the directions of your dreams. Live the life you have imagined." -Thoreau

Fear is a Motivational Friend, not a crippling Force thats there to ruin your life.

Love is worth it. A Life with out love is like life without sleeping. Mottling through, griping and barely functioning. I don't mean Love as in a significant other but the love of friends, family a pet or even a love for what you are doing with your life and who you are.

I am young. 22. I haven't lived as long as most but I still know these things to be true to me and my life. And they are the things I know, am grateful for and have learned in my short life so far. I would love to see comments or blogs on what you know in your life. I hope to learn from you as I hope this blog can help you learn from me. The final thing I know is, A helping hand, a small gesture or even a small write about your daily life can change the life of others.
Well lets see, A Lot is going on. James and I bought a Orange Nissan Murano last night. Its a very practical vehicle for us with my wedding business and his wine business getting off the ground. Plenty of passenger room, Cargo room and a towing package if ever needed. And PLENTY of room for Owen when I get him. He'll love it! Pretty exciting and I love it!!! We are getting rid of James' car... Sad but necessary. Its a race car and just not what we need anymore. Funny thing, So I dyed my hair the other day to a color called SunBerry. I love the color! Its a pretty red/blonde and I really like it! And our new car is a similar color and the interior too! SunBerry has become my color of the week. :P (don't worry my hair is not as orange as this!)
I finally posted my favorite picture ever! Its become my new profile picture on FB. James and I NEVER look good in pictures. One of us will look awesome (usually him) and the other will look like crap (one guess which one that is.) Anyways we went to a wedding in SLC in Feb and took this picture before we left. I love it!
I was playing around and decided I needed to practice on electronic set up of style boards. SO heres the result of my first ever time using publisher and putting together an electronic board...

Well thats about all For this morning!
"If you have a garden and a library, you have everything you need." -Cicero

I chose this quote because it is so true to me!! I love to take walks and just spending time outside in a garden. And books are the best things in the world, So a library is a must in anyones life. I read this quote and it makes me think of those old Victorian homes with the personal libraries and the garden rooms attached to the house. Wouldn't you just LOVE to sit in one of those rooms, on a couch, cuddled up with a good book and the smell of flowers all around? You really would have every thing you need.
